Our client is a multi award winning, fast-growing family business in the design industry. They are recruiting a Senior Book Keeper to support their Head of Finance with the day-to-day financial operations of the business. This is a newly created role and offers the opportunity to work in a small team within a thriving and dynamic business.
This is an opportunity ideally suited to an AAT qualified finance professional with at least 5 years experience within a finance role.
Responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring the day-to-day financial operations alongside the Head of Finance.
- Liaison with external services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs as necessary, including HRMC.
- Reviewing financial data and preparing monthly management accounts and drafting year end accounts.
- Preparation and presentation of financial reports.
- Credit control.
- Cashflow management.
- Preparation of VAT returns.
About you:
- You have already gained your AAT Level 3/4 or other certified bookkeeping qualification.
- Experience with Xero is essential.
- You have AR and AP ledger experience.
- Previous experience of within a project-based business would be an advantage.
- You have 5 years experience in a finance role and have a happy and positive outlook.
- You are an intelligent self-starter who is comfortable with working with data.
- You are highly organised and have superb attention to detail.

Salary: up to £40k FTE dependent upon experience
