A professional services firm specialising in regulatory hosting and AIFMD services has a new role for a Senior Associate. Working as part of a team of 12 focusing on real estate, private equity, infrastructure and private credit, responsibilities are broad and varied and could include:

  • Administering regulatory hosting services for small entrepreneurial businesses
  • Leading and managing client relationships including ongoing multi-channel communication
  • Monitoring and overseeing the client 'take on' process and carrying out client risk assessments
  • Ensuring that the team completes all regulatory reporting efficiently and within agreed time-frames
  • Supporting management in undertaking business management duties, eg budgeting, management reporting
  • Ensuring all billings are carried out on time
  • Overseeing the team's review of all marketing materials relating to AIFM
  • Reviewing legal agreements and liaising with clients and lawyers
  • Keeping abreast of new regulatory changes and proactively challenging or improving existing procedures in line with changes in regulation or law
  • Staff management
  • Business development and leading on pitch meetings (if candidate is interested in becoming involved in this aspect of the role)

About you:

  • An understanding of the principles of control frameworks and risk management
  • Appropriate investment management qualifications eg CFA, CAIA, IMC preferred but could consider someone qualified by experience
  • Previous experience in the finance/real estate/private equity industry would be advantageous
  • Fund management background would be useful
  • Regulatory experience would be useful
  • Ability to think laterally about the practical application of FCA regulations
  • People management experience
  • Enjoy working in a small company environment
  • Strong numeracy and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of AIFMD if possible but not essential

This role will provide an excellent opportunity to work within a truly collegiate atmosphere where people's strengths are played to and training will be provided for aspects of the role where experience is lacking. It will suit candidates with an investment management or chartered accountant background with an interest in funds and regulation. Location: London/home

Pay: £60,000 - £65,000 FTE
