A professional services firm specialising in regulatory hosting and AIFMD services has a new role for a Senior Associate. Working as part of a team of 12 focusing on real estate, private equity, infrastructure and private credit, responsibilities are broad and varied and could include:
- Administering regulatory hosting services for small entrepreneurial businesses
- Leading and managing client relationships including ongoing multi-channel communication
- Monitoring and overseeing the client 'take on' process and carrying out client risk assessments
- Ensuring that the team completes all regulatory reporting efficiently and within agreed time-frames
- Supporting management in undertaking business management duties, eg budgeting, management reporting
- Ensuring all billings are carried out on time
- Overseeing the team's review of all marketing materials relating to AIFM
- Reviewing legal agreements and liaising with clients and lawyers
- Keeping abreast of new regulatory changes and proactively challenging or improving existing procedures in line with changes in regulation or law
- Staff management
- Business development and leading on pitch meetings (if candidate is interested in becoming involved in this aspect of the role)
About you:
- An understanding of the principles of control frameworks and risk management
- Appropriate investment management qualifications eg CFA, CAIA, IMC preferred but could consider someone qualified by experience
- Previous experience in the finance/real estate/private equity industry would be advantageous
- Fund management background would be useful
- Regulatory experience would be useful
- Ability to think laterally about the practical application of FCA regulations
- People management experience
- Enjoy working in a small company environment
- Strong numeracy and written communication skills
- Knowledge of AIFMD if possible but not essential
This role will provide an excellent opportunity to work within a truly collegiate atmosphere where people's strengths are played to and training will be provided for aspects of the role where experience is lacking. Pay: £60,000 - £65,000 FTE
