Our client is an innovative, fast-growing, PE-backed technology start-up with an ambitious yet achievable strategy for growth. They are looking for a Head of Finance to support the business on its scale-up journey.
Working closely with the wider executive team, the Head of Finance will put in place financial planning and management, as well as providing support and strategic insight to commercial initiatives. This role combines the operational (hands-on) elements of finance with the strategic and will suit someone who enjoys taking overall responsibility for delivering an agile, fit for purpose finance function which can develop as the business scales.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Finance will provide accurate, extensive and timely financial analysis to support the management team in effective decision making. As well as being operational therefore they will also serve as a commercially-minded thought partner to the CEO while implementing the systems and processes to help the company get to the next stage.
About you:
- You are a fully qualified accountant (ACA or CIMA) with up to date technical skills/CPD
- You have experience working within a small, growing business, ideally in a B2B SaaS/services environment where you have managed all financial and commercial aspects of a recurring revenue business model.
- You have experience of driving improvements in management information and reporting as well as professionalising finance processes and teams.
- Your financial modelling and data analysis capability is excellent.
- Experience of working in a start-up, Private Equity-backed or investor-backed business would be ideal but is not essential.
- You are comfortable working at pace, are detail oriented and comfortable working with a degree of ambiguity.
- Experience of Xero is also essential.
Flexibility: 3 or 4 days per week, hybrid with office presence at least 2 days per week
