An award winning consultancy has a newly created role for an Associate Director to join their Engineering team. Reporting into the Engineering Director, this role would be a 'second in command' position which can be carried out on a part-time or full-time and hybrid basis. This is a senior leadership role for a talented individual with excellent technical engineering skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Directing a range of projects with autonomy, leading in the delivery of complex transport infrastructure projects
- Ensuring the provision of efficient and high quality engineering services in compliance with relevant design standards and codes
- Acting as senior point of contact with clients, design teams and external stakeholders
- Line management responsibilities for a team of Engineers including the provision of career progression, mentoring and training support
- Nurturing existing client relationships and building new ones
- Representing the business externally at conferences, seminars and networking events
About you:
- Civil Engineering degree or equivalent in a similar technical discipline
- You will be a Chartered Engineer (with the ICE/CIHT or similar)
- Have the ability to review designs in Civils3D, AutoCAD and the AutoDesk ecosystem
- Have in-depth experience of developing all aspects of transport infrastructure in the urban environment
- Previous experience in surface and sub-surface drainage design
- Previous experience of directing multiple projects simultaneously to budget
- Leaderships skills from both a technical delivery and people management perspective
- Experience of successfully supporting the work and career progression of a team
- Building and managing client relationships
- Experience in construction logistics and traffic management design support and on site delivery experience would be desirable
