An award winning consultancy has a newly created role for an Associate Director to join their Engineering team. Reporting into the Engineering Director, this role would be a 'second in command' position which can be carried out on a part-time or full-time and hybrid basis. This is a senior leadership role for a talented individual with excellent technical engineering skills.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Directing a range of projects with autonomy, leading in the delivery of complex transport infrastructure projects
  • Ensuring the provision of efficient and high quality engineering services in compliance with relevant design standards and codes
  • Acting as senior point of contact with clients, design teams and external stakeholders
  • Line management responsibilities for a team of Engineers including the provision of career progression, mentoring and training support
  • Nurturing existing client relationships and building new ones
  • Representing the business externally at conferences, seminars and networking events

 

About you:

 

  • Civil Engineering degree or equivalent in a similar technical discipline
  • You will be a Chartered Engineer (with the ICE/CIHT or similar)
  • Have the ability to review designs in Civils3D, AutoCAD and the AutoDesk ecosystem
  • Have in-depth experience of developing all aspects of transport infrastructure in the urban environment
  • Previous experience in surface and sub-surface drainage design
  • Previous experience of directing multiple projects simultaneously to budget
  • Leaderships skills from both a technical delivery and people management perspective
  • Experience of successfully supporting the work and career progression of a team
  • Building and managing client relationships
  • Experience in construction logistics and traffic management design support and on site delivery experience would be desirable

Pay: £60,000 - £80,000 FTE
