Our client is a European PE investor specialising in buyout and growth capital investments Typically, they invest in a focused portfolio of businesses with significant potential to expand. A relatively small and welcoming team they are looking to hire a SPV Accountant on a flexible basis.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the SPV Accountant will be responsible for enhancing the processes and controls around the SPV accounting and company administration activities which are being brought in house. The SPV Accountant will also be responsible for the updating and maintenance of the books and records of the SPVs on an ongoing basis working with third part administrators to ensure timely financial and tax reporting to our investors.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the team currently performing the accounting and company administration duties and assume responsibility for these functions across the firm's investment SPVs (all of which are companies).
  • Refine the procedures required for the in-house SPV accounting function and streamline existing processes where possible.
  • Liaise with company administrators in UK and overseas to ensure the correct information is being shared.
  • Ensure filing of corporate documents is carried out in an orderly manner using appropriate software.
  • Maintain an annual timetable detailing all deliverables for each SPV
  • Production of monthly management information (cash positions etc.)
  • Assisting Investor Reporting process
  • Manage the year end audit process for those SPVs requiring an audit.
  • Assist the finance team with ad-hoc tasks
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

Skill set:

  • Relevant accounting experience and accounting qualification essential
  • Awareness of company secretarial reporting requirements
  • Ability to adapt to a varied set of tasks and take on new responsibilities as may arise over time.
  • Ability to work on their own and as a member of a small team.
  • Ability to adhere to tight deadlines.
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office.

Qualified with previous experience within a similar environment you will be a team player, good communicator with great attention to detail.

Flexibility: 30 hours a week - Hybrid - 3 days office based - 1 day remote
