£60,000 FTE 3 days a week office based open to flexible working

A confident and experienced HR manager is being sought to join the team of this growing operations based SME with the remit to drive the people strategy in line with the business strategy. Reporting into the CEO the company has a headcount of circa 60 with ongoing growth plans. Strategic and hands on, this a varied standalone role, with some mentoring available at Board level. An exciting opportunity for someone who has gained their experience in a hands-on HR generalist role and is looking for an opportunity to lead the HR agenda. 

Main Tasks

Managing and supporting the full employment cycle handling all HR processes such as Induction, Performance Management, Reward and Recognition as well as the Talent Review Process.

  • Building employee engagement and motivation through effective employment initiatives for a high performance culture
  • Enhancing the employer brand to attract the right talent; resourcing through creative and cost-effective recruitment practices
  • Project managing the introduction of the new HRIS
  • Championing and delivering the learning and development plan to meet career growth needs
  • Working with the Diversity and Inclusion and Employee Well-being teams to deliver best practice initiatives and change where required
  • Sharing and coaching line managers in best practice management techniques and handling employee related issues 
  • Initiating the company internal communications plan
  • Developing relevant policies and procedures that support the drive for B Corp status
  • Supporting change management processes

Key Skills

  • 5+ years experience in a similar role, particular experience of project management/ HRIS implementation an advantage
  • Ability to work independently and influence at Board level
  • Prioritization around the needs of the business
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to present
  • Up to date employment law knowledge
  • Ability to think strategically and operate pragmatically
  • Experience in developing and supporting line managers with change
  • A proactive team player with strong customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Experience gained in a systems/technology sales environment would be an advantage.

Education:
Educated to degree standard 
CIPD qualified
